Description

Turtle Wax Metallic Car Wax + PTFE is a 2-in-1 car wax and polish specially formulated for metallic paint finishes. The 500ml bottle shown is the Turtle Wax Metallic Car Wax + PTFE formulation, designed to clean and enhance metallic paintwork while leaving a durable, water-repellent protective finish. Turtle Wax states that the formula combines ultra-fine polishing agents with fluoropolymer/PTFE technology to improve gloss, smooth light surface imperfections and provide longer-lasting protection.

The PTFE-enhanced formula creates a slick surface that helps repel water, while the polishing agents help improve the clarity and appearance of the clear coat. It is particularly suited to maintaining metallic and pearlescent vehicle finishes where maintaining gloss and paint clarity is important.

Vehicles requiring regular paint protection and gloss enhancement

It is particularly useful after washing and drying a vehicle when you want to restore shine while adding a protective wax layer.

Paint Protection & Finish

The combination of polishing agents and PTFE helps improve the visual appearance of metallic paintwork while leaving a smooth protective surface. Turtle Wax describes the PTFE coating as providing water repellency and enhanced durability, helping the vehicle maintain its glossy appearance for longer.

The product can also help reduce the visual appearance of light swirls and fine surface imperfections. It should not, however, be considered a replacement for a dedicated compound or scratch-repair product where paint damage is deep or severe.

How to Use

Wash and dry the vehicle thoroughly.
Ensure the paintwork is clean, dry and cool.
Apply approximately a small amount of wax to a clean foam applicator or soft cotton cloth.
Work on a small section at a time using overlapping circular motions.
Allow the product to dry to a light haze.
Wipe away the excess with a clean microfiber cloth.
Turn the cloth to a clean side and lightly buff the surface to reveal the high-gloss finish.

Avoid using the product on damaged paintwork and avoid contact with glass, rubber gaskets and trim, as indicated by the product guidance.
